DESCRIPTION:Access to Mt. Mitchell State Park from the Blue Ridge Parkway will be closed to all vehicle traffic on Saturday\, August 27th. Mt. Mitchell State Park will be hosting the signature Centennial Celebration for NC State Parks and will provide shuttle services to the park from several regional locations to ensure that visitors may attend the event in a safe and enjoyable manner. We will have more information on shuttle locations and event plans as we get closer to August 27th.
